Who we are.

The London Leatherdykes is a leather club devoted to holding, occupying, transforming, and creating spaces for Leatherdykes in London. Our club is rooted in Leatherdyke culture and broader Leather society, both past and present. We are intergenerational, class-conscious, pro-sex work, trans inclusive, anti-racist, and above all, we are perverts.

Leathersex is paramount to our existence as a community. Leathersex can mean many different things, but for us there are some defining characteristics; that it goes against cis- and hetero-patriarchal ways of fucking, and that it follows the principles of Risk-Aware Consensual Kink (RACK). We are proud of our Leathersexuality, as it defines so much of who we are. We will never shy away from expressing this pride, and we will never capitulate to shame around our desires, needs, and bonds. We will not be bound by the chains of an oppressive mainstream society, only by the chains we use to bind each other.

We are a participative community. The London Leatherdykes are not a brand or a product, we do not exist to be consumed. You can enjoy our spaces (and our members) but if you wish to join, it is because you want to actively build and uphold our goals and principles with us to the best of your ability, be it by supporting our events, collaborating on our projects, forming connections or associations with other Leather and Dyke spaces, or sharing access to leather, knowledge, and resources.
